I’m old enough to remember the first Sony Playstation, and
truthfully, I freak out a bit when people tell me their first console
was the PS2 or PS3.
Those people actually consider the PS1 “retro”,
which means I’m just old. But those people also missed out on some truly
incredible Sony games (for that day and age, anyway).
included the PS1 versions Gran Turismo 2, Tekken 3, Metal Gear Solid,
Of course those gamers who can list the PS2 and PS3 and
their first console are quickly aging too. After all, it’s entirely
likely that most people in today’s generation will have their first
video game experience on a smartphone. Perhaps that’s why it’s so cool
to hear the news that Sony has created a gaming division specifically
designed to bring its Playstation titles to iOS and Android.
Smartphone will soon be able to experience the “retro” games many of us
reading this grew up with. Here’s everything you need to know.
While the iPhone 8 isn’t going to be announced until September, this
week has been packed with rumors on the upcoming device. And it looks
like the display is going to be the main star of the show. Rumor
has it that Apple is going to announce three new devices — two new
versions of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, and a new high-end
device that could cost more than $1,000. And it looks like the rumors around the display are for this mysterious “iPhone Pro” model.
Last year, the FBI ordered Apple to help crack the iPhone 5c owned by Syed Farook, one of the shooters in the 2015 attacks in San Bernardino. Apple refused, and the FBI reportedly worked with Cellebrite, an Israeli firm that specializes in mobile security. According to a statement from Celelbrite last month, a hacker breached one of its legacy servers. Now the hacker has released some of that data as a warning to the FBI. The data released includes code that seems to relate to Cellebrite's Universal Forensic Extraction Device (UFED), and can allegedly crack older iPhones like the 5c as well as Android and Blackberry devices.
Speaking anonymously to Motherboard, the hacker explained that simply creating these tools makes their release inevitable, where they can be used by anyone with technical knowledge, including oppressive regimes around the world.
"It's important to demonstrate that when you create these tools, they will make it out. History should make that clear,"…

Li-Fiis a concept you may not be familiar with, but there are indications Apple is toying with it for inclusion on future iPhones.Using pulses of light to transmit information, Li-Fi receivers (like a future iPhone, if Apple has its way) will take in that transmission, then translate it into an electric signal. Because it uses light to send data, Li-Fi may be found in the connected home via accessories like lightbulbs.
Li-Fi testing is already imminent. May appear in the next iPhone 7 according to iOS code in iOS 9.1 firmware. pic.twitter.com/MPK65QwLvp

Apple’s work with Li-Fi compatibility has been spotted in code for iOS 9.1, which simply notes Li-Fi capabilities. There’s no indication elsewhere that Apple is working with Li-Fi. But, there’s indication Apple has had Li-Fi in mind for a while. AppleInsider points to a 2013 patent application for a device that sounds an awful lot like a Li-Fi transmitter. While I’m not expecting Apple to in…
one of the biggest strengths of the iPhone has long been his camera, and a new patent application from Apple shows how it could be improved still further in the future. The application first discovered by patently Apple, is obviously for a dual system of the camera on the back of your smartphone. Apple is in the foreground, at least in this patent is the photographer a way to enlarge without losing image quality.
The idea is that a camera had a wide-angle lens, the other had a much deeper focal length. Then you could switch between the two without resolution how to use digital zoom.
Both cameras could be shooting at once.
Of course there are many other ways that Apple could decide to a Dual camera system. A 3D camera is among them, but it seems unlikely, unless Apple also a 3D screen to display them. Also as a zoom system, there are more than just switching from one to the other to take photos. The patent application proposes a could be used to generate still images, while the other …

pick the best smartphone in the world is always a) incredibly hard and b) super fun. Fortunately. Since this is an iOS-centric site, you expect a Apple iPhone with the number 1 and they were right. But this is not sycophantic - in my other life as a producer and presenter of the phones show I do regularly top 5 features - and an iPhone is always in the top, because it is a top specced telephone, can be recommended as a response to the question "What should I buy a phone" without real precautions or possible recriminations. There are multiple iPhones here, plus more Android units, of course. And I would like to still stuck in one of the new flagship Lumias, with the exception that you still have a week away. Maybe next time.
Oh yes, and its rules of procedure. It would be a bit crazy to allow multiple iPhones in the exact same form factor in the top 10. So I do not allowed me to have both the "6s" and "6", for example. Ditto for the '6s Plus". It …
